About Epiphergy:
Epiphergy (an "energy epiphany") was founded in 2008 to develop sustainable alternatives to fossil energy. Our scalable, modular technology uses plant-based organic materials to produce ethanol fuel, animal feed, and organic fertilizer (compost).
Epiphergy is currently focused on collecting and processing waste materials from the food and beverage industry.
Epiphergy will own and operate a network of strategically-located community "upcycling" facilities in order to provide a low-cost organic waste disposal service and produce valuable products that are sold and used locally.
Epiphergy is now in the process of securing financing to build our first full-scale upcycling facility in Rochester, NY.
Epiphergy can utilize almost any kind of compostable, plant-based organic material as “feedstock” to produce ethanol fuel, animal feed, and organic fertilizer (including packaged products). Feedstock does not include compost, manure, sewage sludge, or any other “pre-digested” material.
There is currently enough low-value, plant-based material (“feedstock”) available in the U.S. to sustainably produce over 75 billion gallons of clean, renewable ethanol fuel every year – without growing a single acre of energy crops.
